Sonography

Maxillofacial and throat sonography (ultrasonic examination) have extended our diagnostic options. Sonography equipment is available for use in our practice in the Sternklinik.

Ultrasonic examinations enable us to determine the size of abscesses and record the exact localisation, which in turn enables us to operate precisely and selectively. Sonography is the standard method that we use with our tumour patients when carrying out tumour diagnostics, both in the pre-operative phase as well as during the regular checkups afterwards. We use A-image sonography to record paranasal sinus disorders.
